Overall, the global Release Liner Market experienced a decline of -3.9% in 2023, largely impacted by the decline in the label market which represents nearly half of release liner products. The most heavily impacted region was Europe, with a decline of 11.1%. Asia experienced slight growth at 1%.

Nonetheless there have been already promising indications of the market turnaround by the conclusion of Q4 2023. Going into 2024 AWA forecasts a growth of 3.1%, as demand and supply balances stabilize, driven by the Asian market.
